grotty gurgaon

DLF is planning the biggest IPO in the country. Why would KP Singh, considered by many to be the richest 'cash-rich' Indian want to raise more money from the public and why can't he use his own reserves to fund the groups expansion? Is he not willing to bet his own funds for his expansion plans and not sure of the RoI on his own money!!?

Considering the way DLF has treated their development in Gurgaon needs to be showcased to investors across the country who have never been to Grotty Gurgaon, especially the DLF developed areas to see the kind of irresponsible development the group has done.

Being the leading colonisers they need to take more responsibility for the state of the areas in and around the DLF colonies. The approach into Gurgaon from the Mehrauli side is the most constricted passage with roads that get potholed after every shower. mounds of mud have been dumped to fence the DLF colonies from the main road and these have remained as such with no attempt to grass them. all the main streets are littered with garbage with no one responsible for cleaning them. try getting into or out of DLF ph-II after the MG mall and it could take you over 10-15 minutes since it's not been planned as a major route to get in or out of the colony. Especially since there is a big market right at the entrance and the traffic to this market clogs up the entire area. DLF has built the narrowest roads and the least number of parks in all it's phases and phase 2 & 1 now resemble a sadder version to GK-II.

A section of the road opposite DLF Ph-IV super mart has been dug up for an year and no ones bothered to fix it. DLF might want to shift the blame on the Gurgaon administration but at the end of the day they themselves need to take onus and go that extra mile to clean up the area and resolve all traffic and other issues.

DT mall opposite MG mall is again poorly planned with not enough parking, traffic jams outside the mall etc. If DLF are such great developers and colonisers they should have foreseen these issues and made their developments accordingly.

Electricity, security and water still remain big issues in all DLF and surrounding colonies. The voltage fluctuations will render most home appliances kaput very soon. The 3 big developers DLF, Unitech and Ansals need to come together with the administration and resolve all the above issues if they want people to trust them. though going by the way property prices are going up and any new project announced by DLF is getting lapped up it's obvious that most people don't care too much.
